Our easy-to-convert kits contain all the components you need to change over to a Donaldson fuel filter water separating system – with the performance you've come to expect from a Donaldson filter.

OEM Bowl Style Filters
Donaldson style filters are available with an all-new water bowl designed specifically for larger sized filters. Each component can be ordered separately or as part of a full conversion kit.

Filter Conversion Kits
Our conversion kits contain all the components you need to change over to a Donaldson fuel filter water separating system. These easy-to-convert kits include a fuel filter with a standard valve, Donaldson-designed water collection bowl, and alternative valve with a water-in-fuel (WIF) sensor or threaded port. Service filters can be ordered separately.

Spin-On Fuel Filter Water Separator (FFWS)
- Disconnect Water-In-Fuel (WIF) sensor if present – reconnect after servicing
- Unscrew and remove the old filter and gasket
- Properly dispose of the used filter according to local regulations
- Wipe filter head with a clean cloth
- Fill with fuel on the dirty side of the filter – per engine manufacturer recommendations
- Apply a thin film of clean motor oil to the gasket
- Align threads; spin filter on until gasket contacts
- Follow icons on filter to tighten to tighten the appropriate amount
- Replace water collection bowl gasket if applicable
- Prime fuel system per manufacturer instructions
- Start engine and check for leaks
- Drain water daily

Water-in-Fuel Sensor LED Display Kit
Water is one of the most harmful contaminants found in fuel. Donaldson's Water-in-Fuel Sensor & Display Kit is designed to give a visual warning for when separated water is present in the filter and needs to be drained. The kit contains a drain valve with electrical plug, wiring loom and a dash mount LED display.
